Software preview is not showing video during capture(No signal). How to fix it?
When there is no video showing during capture, there are three different errors you may see in the preview of applications like OBS or RECentral:
1. No Signal :
1-1. Video Input Source : Check if the video input device works properly or not by connecting it to a monitor directly. Change the video source to compare the test results.
If the video source is other than a game console, there may be compatibility issue. If it is an iPhone, please use a Lightning Digital AV Adapter made by Apple. If it is an iPad, connect power adaptor to the Apple Lightning Digital AV Adapter during usage.
1-2. HDMI Out / Passthrough : Connect captre device's HDMI Out to a monitor, and confirm if there is an image showing on the screen. If yes, the settings in video capture software are to be checked.
1-3. Cable :
If the capture device appears in Device Manager: Check if swapping with a known good HDMI cable can fix an issue like this.
If the capture device does not appear in Device Manager:
> Connect to the other USB ports, or test on another computer.
> Swap with a good USB cable.
2. Out of Range : Check if the resolution and frame rate of the video source’s setting is supported by this capture device.
