When the "Device Occupied" error message appears in RECentral 4, what should I do?

Step 1: If your system is already updated to Windows 10 [1803], this error occurs due to a new update controlling how apps access webcams and video capture devices. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
1. Type "Privacy Settings" in the Windows search bar and press "Enter."
2. Go to Privacy Settings > Camera and set "Allow apps to access your camera" toggle to "On."
3. Go to Privacy Settings > Microphone and set "Allow apps to access your microphone" toggle to "On."

Step 2: Check if the UAC (USB Audio Class) device (e.g., GC510, GC513, GC570, BU110) is enabled in the Windows volume panel of the recording device. If not, enable it and then go to Device Manager > Action panel and select "Scan for hardware changes."

Step 3: For USB interface devices (e.g., GC510, GC513, BU110), disconnect and reconnect them from the connected USB port.

Step 4: Reinstall the UAC device driver: Right-click on the device name in the Device Manager, select "Uninstall device," and manually remove the UAC device.

Step 5: In Windows Task Manager, "Stop" the "RECentral Service," then click "Start" to restart it.

Step 6: If you have selected the graphics card codec setting in RECentral 4 settings, make sure to update your dedicated graphics card driver to the latest version.
