Can AVerMedia capture card devices work with Mac computers with M1 and M2 series
Yes, we are pleased to inform you GC553, BU113, and GC551G2, GC513, GC311 are compatible with MacBook Air, Mac mini, and MacBook Pro models that feature the Apple M1 and M2 series.
Please note that while the above capture card devices are compatible with Apple Silicon, there may be some limitations when using our products with these Mac computers. While the GC553, BU113, and GC551G2 products can support a maximum resolution of 1920x1080 at 60p, they may not work flawlessly on higher resolution and frame rate (e.g., 4K at 30p). Please refer to the below table:
Notes: Updated as of March 2023: Macbook Air with M1 chip, macOS 13.3, OBS Studio 29.0.2, and RECentral Express 1.2.72
In order to ensure a reliable connection between our device and your Apple M1/M2 series, we recommend using either a USB3 C to C cable(e.g., Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB C) Cable (0.8 m)) or a USB3 C to A cable via the adapter made by Apple.
