Wireless Classroom Audio System - AW330

Since every AW330 is paired out of the box, all you need to do is turn it on and start using it. If you need to re-pair them, simply turn on the microphone and speaker, long-press the microphone’s power button for three seconds to start the pairing, and wait until the Power LED goes from flashing green to solid green. Now your AW330 is ready to go.
Microphone: The battery takes two to three hours to charge from empty to full, and it can last up to eight hours.
Speaker: The battery takes two to three hours to charge from empty to full, and it can last up to eight hours.
When only the microphone and speaker are being used, their usage time is around eight hours. If another audio source is being played through the speaker, the speaker battery will drain faster and possibly more depending on the loudness, the average usage time is four to eight hours.
Microphone: Charge it via the micro USB port; the same as charging a smart phone. During charging, the battery LED “BATTY” will flash red, orange, or green depending on the battery’s current power level. The LED will turn solid green once the battery is fully charged.
Speaker: Charge it via the included AC adapter. During charging, the battery LEDs flash green depending on the battery’s current power level. All four LEDs will turn solid green once the battery is fully charged.
Be sure to charge your batteries before first use or before storing them for a long period.
Microphone:
(a) Solid green → Working properly
(b) Flashing green → Not paired with speaker
Speaker:
(a) Solid green → Working properly
Flashing green → Not paired with microphone
Microphone:
(a) Green → Good; enough battery
(b) Orange → Low; one to two hours left
(c) Flashing red → Critical; need charge
Speaker:
The number of lit LED indicates the remaining power.
(a) Four solid green → 100% power
(b) Three solid green → 75% power
(c) Two solid green → 50% power
(d) One solid green → 25% power
One flashing red → critical power; need charge
We recommend the following:
1. Clip-On: Use the back clip on the microphone to clip it onto your clothing, and point the microphone towards your mouth for better reception.
2. Pendant: Attach the lanyard to the microphone and wear it around your neck. Adjust the distance so the microphone is within 15–20 cm (6–8 inches) from your mouth for best reception.
Note: Due to the antenna being at the bottom of the microphone, holding the microphone is not recommended as it will cause signal instability and possible sound breakups.
Without obstructions or signal interference, the AW330’s maximum transmission distance can reach 30 meters (98 ft). In a normal environment, the maximum distance can reach about 15 meters (49 ft).
No, the AW330 speaker doesn’t support pairing with multiple microphones.
No, the AW330 speaker doesn’t support other brands of microphones.
Stuttering/breaking sounds are mostly caused by unstable wireless signal. Please consider the following options to avoid such problem:
1. Due to the antenna being at the bottom of the microphone, do not hold the microphone and cover the antenna area.
2. Obstacles such as walls weaken the signal strength, so we recommend using the wireless microphone and the speaker in the same room to avoid weakening the signals.
There’re many brands and types of players on the market, such as cell phones, tablets, and all with different maximum volume output. Naturally, the speaker will receive those audio in different volumes. You can adjust the volume using the volume knob on the speaker or the volume buttons on your audio devices.
The volume knob on the AW330 speaker can adjust the microphone and external audio source’s (Audio in) overall volume. If you just want to adjust the volume on either one of them, we suggest using their own volume adjustments.
This is a special feature of AW330: automatic volume adjustment on external audio source when the microphone is in use. In other words, when music is playing in the background and you want to talk on the microphone, the music will be automatically turned down so you won’t need to overpower the music. Once you’re done talking, the music will go back to its original volume.
AW330 speaker will automatically shut down in two conditions:

1. No audio input: When the speaker is not paired with the microphone and detects no external audio input for over five minutes, AW330 speaker will automatically shut down.

2. External audio input too low: When the speaker is not paired with the microphone and the volume of the external audio is too low even in a normal environment with maximum speaker volume, the speaker will shut down automatically in five minutes to save power.
