Why is my capture & charging device not detected by AVerMedia firmware/software or my PC when used with Nintendo Switch 2, preventing firmware updates or normal operation?
Please follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:
1 Firmware Update Check
Ensure that you are using the latest firmware available on the AVerMedia official website.
Follow the instructions provided in the official Firmware Update Tool carefully.
⚠️ Note
If the GC313 C1 / GC313Pro C2 port is connected using the included USB Type-C to Type-C cable and the device is not detected by the PC,
please try using a standard USB 3.0 Type-C to Type-A cable and connect it directly to a USB 3.0 Type-A port on the rear I/O of the motherboard.
2 Recording / Streaming Software Support
Only GC313Pro supports recording and streaming functions.
Please use OBS Studio for recording or live streaming.
Refer to the official tutorial video for setup instructions.
3 Windows Privacy Settings (GC313Pro only)
Check whether Camera access is enabled in Windows Privacy & Security settings.
If camera access is disabled, enable it and reconnect the device.
Once enabled, the GC313Pro should be detected correctly.
4 Device Manager Check
If the issue persists, open Device Manager.
Verify whether GC313Pro appears under the Cameras category or if it is disabled.
If the device is disabled, enable it and reconnect the device.
