Signal source connected to GC553G2: Preview & Pass thru monitor abnormal symtom troubleshooting
1. Signal source connected to GC553G2/GC575: Preview abnormal (without connecting Pass-through screen)
Use Gaming Utility to switch between HDMI 2.1 (144/120), HDMI 2.0 (for Dock, TV box, media player, DSLR), and HDMI 1.4 (for older devices).
2. Signal source connected to GC553G2/GC575: Preview abnormal, Pass-through screen normal
2-1. In Gaming Utility, please check if there is any other software occupying this video device (Discord, etc.).
2-2. In OBS, check if there are multiple scenes simultaneously using GC553G2.
2-3. It could be a USB3 compatibility issue. It's known that ASMedia's USB host controller may have this problem. Please switch to USB ports that are Intel or AMD native USB host controller. "
(Notes: We have found some motherboard like B450, B350 series may have this compatibility issue)
3. Signal source connected to GC553G2/GC575: Preview normal, Pass-through abnormal
3-1. It might be a compatibility issue between the signal source's Freesync (AMD GPU, Xbox Series X) and DDC CI screens (Acer XV282K).
First, turn off Freesync on the signal source to see if the pass-through screen becomes normal.
3-2. If turning off Freesync doesn't resolve the issue, check whether you are using an HDMI 2.1 cable comes along GC553G2 box."
4. Signal source connected to GC553G2/GC575: Both Preview and Pass-through screen displays are abnormal.
4-1. Use Gaming Utility to switch between HDMI 2.1 (144/120), HDMI 2.0 (for Dock, TV box, media player, DSLR), and HDMI 1.4 (for older devices).
4-2. Try using an HDMI 2.1 cable comes along GC553G2 box.

5. Pass thru monitor fixed on 4K instead of 2560x1440p240.
We've encountered this situation with some monitors and also seen similar reports on here. Simply put, you can try plugging the monitor directly into the PC, copying the 240Hz setting in the monitor’s Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) that wasn’t appearing before, and then pasting it into the capture card’s CRU.
