I have a gaming PC with a new X570 motherboard with a RTX 30X0 graphic card. My PW513 temporarily freezes when using CamEngine. How to fix it?

At the end of March 2021, AMD has announced that a new AGESA update, AGESA 1.2.0.2 has fixed USB issues on affected B550/X570 motherboards. Please check your motherboard manufacturer site for a new BIOS update.v In addition, setting the PCIe lane speed from Generation 4 (Gen4) to Generation 3 (Gen3) may help in cases where USB devices such as PW513 are freezing or disconnecting at times.
 
Each motherboard model and manufacturer will have a different name and location inside the motherboard BIOS for the PCIe generation setting.


Notes: AMD was meant to release its AGESA 1.2.0.2 BIOS Firmware to address the USB connectivity issues faced by several users however, it seems like the company has fast-forwarded the release with the AGESA 1.2.0.1 Patch A BIOS Firmware which is currently being offered by two motherboard makers, MSI & ASRock. Solution:

1. If you use the PC with X570 motherboard and stand-alone graphics card RTX 30X0, we would recommend you change the PCIE4 to PCIE3 in BIOS. 

 

2. You can test by plugging your PW513 on the different USB ports. For example, you can try plugging on the USB3.2 Gen 2 port on your PC.

3. : Please ensure the firmware of PW513 is up to date (V46 in August 2021)

4. Please ensure the driver version of your stand-alone graphics card RTX 30X0 is up to date:
