“CREATING IS AN OUTLET FOR ME. IT IS A WAY TO EXPRESS MYSELF THAT HOPEFULLY INSPIRES OTHERS AND BRINGS SOME LAUGHTER INTO THEIR LIVES”

What does creating mean to you?

Creating is an outlet for me. It is a way to express myself that hopefully inspires others and brings some laughter into their lives. I love meeting new people and the idea that I could not only meet new people but build a diverse community was very enticing for me.

What has been the highlight of your streaming career?

The years we adopted families for Thanksgiving & Christmas. Each year we achieved our charity goal & were able to provide Thanksgiving meals and Christmas gifts for families. It was an honor and something I could not have done by myself. My whole community rallied together and it is something I am so proud of.

What tip would you give to someone who is thinking about getting into streaming?

Try not to invest a lot of money in streaming gear until you know streaming is 100% for you. Streaming is not for everyone. For me, it has been life changing but comes with challenges of its own. Start out with what you have and slowly upgrade things over time if streaming is your passion. I hear AVerMedia has some pretty solid gear you should check out too.

“being able to bring different people from different walks of life together for the purpose of video games. ”

What does creating mean to you?

I found Twitch at a very dark time in my life. What started out as a way for me to meet people to play games with has evolved into something much more than I ever could've imagined. Bringing different people from different walks of life together for the purpose of video games and friendship is something I have fallen in love with over the past few years. My community is in the top three things that are the most important to me. To answer the question, “what does creating mean to you?” It means everything.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not LIVE?

I'm a father first. When I'm not streaming, I try my best to keep up with what my two youngest boys are into. They're passionate about video games and I try to share my love of games with them. Aside from that, I spend a fair amount of time on Twitch supporting other streamers. You can also find me in Discord helping other folks out with their streaming dreams.

What tip would you give to someone who is thinking about getting into streaming?

In my opinion one of the most important things, especially when starting out is to make and stick to a schedule. Other than that, be the same person on stream that you are in person. Play what you love, not what you think will get you viewers. Figure out who you are, what kind of community you want to cultivate and have fun first. Viewers will come after. Last tip, don't bother with that "other" company. AVerMedia has your back.

Building a community. It is REALLY easy for us to get caught up in numbers or crazy streams. But those days and streams pass and then it is on to the next one. Building a core group of people that make my streams possible, is the biggest accomplishment for sure.

“JUST START STREAMING AND LEARN ALONG THE WAY”

What does creating mean to you?

Creating means never having to apologize for being who you are or liking what you like. If it comes from your imagination, it is a pure representation of who you are & it should be celebrated.

What got you into streaming?

After I got laid off from the corporate world in 2008, I shifted my focus towards my passion for video games. I wrote articles for several gaming websites & started a YouTube channel. After several years, I decided a live medium would fit my personality better & made the switch to streaming full-time on Twitch. See dad that theatre degree DID pay off!

What tip would you give to someone who is thinking about getting into streaming?

I always recommend to start streaming for the fun of it and not to worry about having the perfect equipment, art assets or branding. Just start streaming and learn along the way. Create a set schedule so people know when to find you & constantly talk about what you're doing when playing games. Don't wait for folks to talk to you!

What is the story behind your Handle?

I was born in the United States Virgin Islands on an Island called St. Croix. There we immerse ourselves in a culture of food, the way we speak, festivals, basically our way of life, the "Crucian" way. Crucian is what we call ourselves where we live, so my handle represents the people in the Virgin Islands.

“CREATION IS ONE OF THE PUREST WAYS OF SELF-EXPRESSION”

What does creating mean to you?

Creation is one of the purest ways of self-expression. The ability to create gives me an outlet to “perform” and entertain by showing my personality and being vulnerable to the world. Being honest in your creation helps connect you to those that truly appreciate who you are and what you do. I've been creating art and music from a very young age and have no intent in stopping!

What do you enjoy doing when you are not Live?

I enjoy spending time with people that mean the most to me. My wife and children are at the top of that list. I love going to conventions and spending time with other creators and the community. I've never felt more accepted than when I get to spend time with them. Outside of that, I love drumming, poker, classic video games, movies and other normal people things.

What tip would you give to someone who is thinking about getting into streaming?

DO IT! Fear manifests itself in many ways. Often letting fear dictate what we choose to do will prevent us trying something we may LOVE. In the beginning, use what you got and make the best of it. Don't over invest until you know you love it. Focus on yourself, your personality / persona and make improvements one thing at a time. Create opportunities for audience interaction, even if you think no one is watching. And please, be kind.
