Mobile gaming is here to stay. From the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 and the ROG Xbox Ally X in 2025, mobile game adoption reaching new heights, and more and more game titles being added to the Steam library—on-the-go gaming is an undoubted force to be reckoned with.
To tackle the specific needs of mobile-first gamers and streamers, we created the GO Series , compact devices that dock, charge and capture gameplay from any Type-C devices with ALT Mode such as handheld consoles, smartphones and tablets for streaming anywhere at any time.
While these solutions ruled out the need for carrying multiple chargers and bulky console docks while traveling, users were still contingent on carrying a laptop to be able to stream comfortably on-the-go, adding weight and taking up space in their packing cases.
In light of this, we've designed a free mobile streaming app that allows you to stream and record gameplay from your iPad or Tablet without a PC with ease powered by our premium GO Series capture cards.
It allows you to:
Stream to all major streaming platforms (YouTube, Twitch) in up to 1080p60 or via custom RTMP to your platform of choice.
Multistream powered by Restream.
Record gameplay directly to your iPad or tablet photo library
Share your iPad/Tablet’s screen for mobile streaming.
Add two camera sources—your face + captured gameplay.
Add two audio sources—your game’s audio + live commentary.
Make sure your iPad has a USB-C port and is updated to iOS 26 or above. For Android users, you’ll need a USB-C tablet with Android 14 system or later, or conversely a smartphone with USB OTG.
An for iPad users, we are also launching a companion app called Live Streamer Link, which allows you to use your smartphone as a wireless microphone to broadcast your voice while streaming your favorite games. It allows you to control and monitor the volume of your voice on stream.
Some important points to consider when using the app are:
Ensure the smartphone and iPad are connected to the same Wi-Fi network
The app automatically detects an iPad on the same network
Unlock a truly on-the-go, PC-free streaming experience by pairing the Live Streamer App with AVerMedia’s GO Series capture cards, especially designed for Type-C devices with display ALT Mode, including handheld consoles, smartphones, and tablets.
Dock your iPad/Tablet while streaming and perfectly visualize your gameplay and frame your face without needing a stand.
Charge your iPad/tablet + gaming device simultaneously for uninterrupted streaming or recording sessions.
PC-Free One Click Recording: Since recording and streaming cannot be done at unison on the Live Streamer app, you can use the X’tra Go’s PC free function to save your gameplay directly into a micro SD card while streaming.
Ideal for: PC-free mobile streaming and portable game capture setups.
Pocket-sized with plug adapters: The Elite Go comes with a UK and AUS plug adapter to suit your travel needs.
Charge your iPad/tablet + gaming device with 100W GaN Technology: With its thermal control and overload protection the Elite Go allows you to play or stream from hours on end.
Capture in 1080p60 while gaming at 4K60 on a display monitor.
Ideal for: Travelers who need a compact set up.
Both the Elite Go and X’tra Go help build a bridge between your handhelds and your tablet screen. With their charging capabilities, the GO Series allows you to have uninterrupted streaming sessions.
For streamers looking to expand their field of vision, both the Elite Go and X'tra Go allow you to connect a portable HDMI monitor directly to the device. This makes it possible to use the iPad as a dedicated streaming monitor while gameplay is displayed on a second screen, creating a dual-monitor mobile streaming setup without carrying a laptop.
Ideal for: Handheld gamers who want a lightweight, travel-friendly streaming solution while maintaining full visibility of gameplay and camera framing.
With the Live Streamer App and AVerMedia's GO Series, mobile streaming no longer means compromising on quality or portability. Stream anywhere, travel lighter, and stay live—no matter where you play.
