How can I stop the echoing and whistling sound?
Microphone feedback can be of several causes, you can follow the tips below to see what works the best for you.
1. Move the webcam microphone away from the speakers (monitor with built-in speakers) to reduce audio interference. You can use headphones to listen to the conversation instead of your computer's speakers. This tends to cut down on the echoing you hear significantly. Some headphones also feature echo-canceling technology.
2. Position the webcam microphone away from reflective surfaces that may cause echoes, such as filing cabinets or other metallic objects.
3. If your speakers’ volume is too high, your computer’s built-in microphone might be unnecessarily picking up those sounds and filtering them through your speakers again. Please lower the volume on your built-in speakers so that the mic detects less sound. Make sure to also keep your mic away from your speakers, if possible.
