ExtremeCap 910 - CV910

It is recommended to extend Windows desktop on your laptop while using the CV910. Also make sure the VGA indicator or the HDMI indicator is glowing green (valid signal). In addition, if the indicators are off, make sure your computer resolution and frame rate (Hz) are both supported by the CV910. If one of them is not supported, the recording will not be successful.(Please refer to “How to troubleshoot the signal error?” for supported resolutions and frame rates.)
Yes, we have two options for you:
1) Download and install VLC Media Player for free from the links below:
    http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ s VLC (Chinese)
    http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html s VLC (English)

2) If you already have a media player that supports MP4 format, you can 
    download the file converting tool TS-to-MP4 Utility from our website:
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to turn it off.
Connect your CV910 to a working PC with the included mini USB cable and the CV910 will automatically sync with the PC’s time.
Make sure the following conditions are met:
a) VGA or HDMI indicator is glowing green and all cables are properly
    connected.
b) SD card is FAT32-formatted and is at least Class 10.
c) If your CV910 is still connected to a PC through a USB cable
    (for setup in Dashboard),please disconnect the cable.
Make sure the following conditions are met:
a) VGA or HDMI cable is properly connected.
b) Signal source is not protected (HDCP).
c) PC or tablet is not in sleep mode.
d) Signal resolution is supported by the CV910.

Make sure your signal source is not protected by the High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP). If the source is copy-protected, it will not be displayed properly on your screen.
Before the update begins, make sure the power cable and the mini USB cable are properly connected. Turn on the device and wait until the Status Indicatorturns solid green. Download the latest firmware from our official website and follow the steps below:

1) Firstly, go to your PC’s System Manager and make sure the driver is installed.


2) And make sure .NET Framework 4.0 or later is installed. If not, a message window as shown below will pop out asking you to download and install the software. To verify after the installation, follow the path ”C:WindowsMicrosoft.NETFramework” and look for “v4.0.30319.”


3) Double-click to run the updater.


4) Wait for about a minute for the Firmware Update window to appear. Click Update to start the process or Exit to leave.


      During the update, a window will display the progress.


5) After the update is finished, a “Firmware Update Complete” message will appear.
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
    1) Disconnect the VGA output and input cables from the CV910.
    2) Turn on the CV910 and wait until the Status Indicatorturns
        solid green.
        (a) Reconnect the VGA cable to the CV910’s output port
        (b) Reconnect the VGA cable to the CV910’s input port
        (c) Lastly reconnect the VGA cable to your source device
    3) Make sure your monitor’s resolution is supported by the CV910.
        You can obtain the current resolution using the auto detect button on
        your monitor.

1. Download and install the Windows version of SD Formatter.

2. After the installation is complete, open SD Formatter 4.0.

3. Go to Drive: and select your SD card’s drive letter. Click Format to begin the formatting process.

4. When the following two windows appear, read and click OK.

5. Formatting can take some time, please wait.

6. After the formatting is complete, if the File system shows FAT32 as below, you can now use the SD card in CV910.

Note: If the File system shows exFAT as below, continue to step 7.

7. Download GUI Format here: http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/guiformat.exe .


8. Open GUI Format, go to Drive and select your SD card’s drive letter. Click Start to begin formatting to FAT32.

9. When a window appears as below, read and click OK to continue.

10. Wait until the formatting is complete as below. Now you are ready to use the SD card in CV910.

(1) Connect a laptop’s VGA/HDMI output to a doc. cam’s VGA/HDMI input.
(2) Then connect the doc. cam’s VGA/HDMI output to the CV910/CV910W’s VGA/HDMI input.
(3) Lastly, connect the CV910/CV910W’s VGA/HDMI output to a projector’s VGA/HDMI input to finish the connection.
Easily change between PC or camera projection by switching sources on the doc. cam/VC.
