AVerMedia, a global player in the design, manufacture of presentation and multimedia equipments. After a profitable year AVerMedia decided to contribute in relevant volunteer work to society.

Almost 200 of AVerMedia's employees and their families took part in "Clean Up the World" on September 22. On that day, all the executives and employees rolled their sleeves and picked up the amount of trash along the road. With the full support of AVerMedia, the Chung-Cheng Riverside Park had an entire new look.

Mr. Kuo, the President of AVerMedia, thought that people would truly realize the importance of environmental protection by participating in this kind of activities. He indicated the result of this activity; people could enjoy a better life and have a healthy environment.

"Clean Up the World" is a global organization founded by Ian Kiernan. Every year, more than 40 millions people from over 120 countries joined this event. In 1987, Ian completed an around-the-world yacht race. On his journey, he saw the amount of rubbish chocking in the oceans. After returning home, Ian started an event aptly named "Clean Up Australia", which received enormous public response in Australia. In 1993, the United Nation Environment Porgramme (UNEP) started promoting this community-activity to become a global campaign, "Clean Up the World". They want people around the world can do something to protect the environment. With the help of Goodneighbor Organization and Clean Up Australia, Clean Up the World in Taiwan was launched in 2001.
